A fun\u00e7\u00e3o do cultivador \u00e9 estabelecer plantas saud\u00e1veis que possam gerir diferentes factores de stress ao longo da \u00e9poca de crescimento, na tentativa de preservar o m\u00e1ximo rendimento poss\u00edvel. No final do dia, existem apenas dois factores que determinam o rendimento das culturas de cereais:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>n\u00famero de sementes, e<\/li>\n<li>peso m\u00e9dio das sementes (tamanho da semente).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compreender como as plantas de soja regulam o n\u00famero de sementes em resposta ao stress d\u00e1-nos uma vis\u00e3o sobre como preservar o rendimento de soja. Este conhecimento, aliado \u00e0s ferramentas apropriadas de gest\u00e3o de culturas, d\u00e1-nos uma vantagem distinta para combater a perda de rendimento. O n\u00famero de sementes de soja, um dos principais componentes do rendimento acima mencionado, \u00e9 determinado pelo n\u00famero de flores produzidas, o n\u00famero de vagens retidas na planta, e o n\u00famero de sementes por vagem.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"col col-12 col-lg-2 hidden-sm hidden-xs\">\n    <div class=\"col-inner\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"col col-12\">\n    <div class=\"col-inner\"><div class=\"row\">\n    <div class=\"col col-12\">\n    <div class=\"col-inner\"><div class=\"w-space\" style=\"height:40px\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<p>As flores em plantas de soja podem ser produzidas em todos os n\u00f3s de caule e ramos, e o n\u00famero de flores \u00e9 altamente influenciado pela quantidade de ramifica\u00e7\u00f5es. O n\u00famero de ramos e o comprimento dos ramos s\u00e3o espantosamente flex\u00edveis e respondem \u00e0 densidade do povoamento e ao espa\u00e7amento das plantas. As flores produzidas s\u00e3o \"flores completas\", o que significa que cont\u00eam as quatro partes b\u00e1sicas da flor: s\u00e9palas, p\u00e9talas, estames, e pistilo. A estrutura de uma flor de soja assegura que 98% de vagens de soja resultam da auto-poliniza\u00e7\u00e3o, o que produz duas a tr\u00eas vezes mais flores do que haver\u00e1 vagens na colheita. Este excesso de capacidade faz parte de uma estrat\u00e9gia para produzir sementes vi\u00e1veis, mesmo que o stress provoque o abacaxi das flores.<\/p>\n<p>A abscis\u00e3o \u00e9 um processo importante que controla a carga de vagens (e o n\u00famero de sementes) nas plantas de soja. M\u00e1s condi\u00e7\u00f5es de crescimento, incluindo stress de seca, sombreamento por ervas daninhas, desfolia\u00e7\u00e3o das folhas e mesmo longos per\u00edodos de nuvens, aumentam a quantidade de abcis\u00e3o. Mas, mesmo em excelentes condi\u00e7\u00f5es de crescimento, a abcis\u00e3o de 50% ou mais das flores \u00e9 normal. Como quase 100% de flores de soja s\u00e3o fertilizadas, a diminui\u00e7\u00e3o do n\u00famero de vagens deve-se ao aborto de vagens que ocorre ap\u00f3s as flores terem sido fertilizadas.<\/p>\n<div class=\"w-heading heading-8 text-left\">\n    <div class=\"w-wrapper\">\n                 \n        <h2>           \n            Compreender o Aborto de Sementes de Soja        <\/h2>\n                    <\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"w-space\" style=\"height:30px\"><\/div>\n<p>Imediatamente ap\u00f3s a fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos \u00f3vulos no ov\u00e1rio, a parede da vagem come\u00e7a a expandir-se e est\u00e1 quase completa quando come\u00e7a o enchimento das sementes. Quando o crescimento da parede da vagem est\u00e1 terminado, as sementes em desenvolvimento obtiveram apenas cerca de 5% do seu peso seco final.<\/p>\n<p>Numa vagem normal com sementes em desenvolvimento normal, as sementes na fase R6 ir\u00e3o preencher quase completamente a cavidade da vagem. O n\u00famero de sementes de uma vagem \u00e9 determinado pelo n\u00famero de \u00f3vulos no ov\u00e1rio, o n\u00famero desses \u00f3vulos fertilizados, e o n\u00famero de sementes que continuam a desenvolver-se at\u00e9 \u00e0 maturidade.<\/p>\n<p>A fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o bem sucedida de um \u00f3vulo n\u00e3o significa que a semente resultante continuar\u00e1 a desenvolver-se atrav\u00e9s da maturidade - o aborto de sementes pode ocorrer a qualquer uma das sementes em crescimento. \u00c9 comum que 10 a 20% de sementes fertilizadas aborte com mais de 90% das incid\u00eancias de aborto que ocorrem no prazo de 30 dias ap\u00f3s a fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Durante o desenvolvimento das sementes, as sementes requerem um fluxo constante de \u00e1gua, hidratos de carbono, e nutrientes minerais. Qualquer stress que reduza qualquer uma destas necessidades pode aumentar a taxa de aborto de sementes. Uma vez que as sementes s\u00e3o mais vulner\u00e1veis ao aborto no in\u00edcio do seu desenvolvimento, \u00e9 mais prov\u00e1vel que o stress durante a fase de crescimento R4 reduza o n\u00famero de sementes por vagem do que o stress que ocorre mais cedo ou mais tarde na \u00e9poca de crescimento.
