Raised on a farm in Southwest Middlesex County, Ontario, I graduated from Ridgetown College of Agricultural Technology in 1971. I began my 45-plus year career in the Canadian and U.S. agricultural community with United Cooperative in 1971. In 1976 I joined Scotch Fertilizers as a Manager. In 1981, I started a Crop Management company called Competitive Edge, based in Southwestern Ontario that grew to service 48,000 acres. In the mid-80s, I participated on the development committee for Stoller USA. It was during this association that CanGrow was started by a local group of farmers. I was instrumental in the product development and marketing of this company. I purchased CanGrow in 1999 and grew it into a stable and profitable business with a track record of providing superior product and services to our customers. In 2016, I was introduced to Mohammad Rahbari, and his innovative process for production of fulvic acid. Motivated by his energy and enthusiastic about the process, I incorporated Bioline Corp. with the goal of bringing superior quality bio-stimulants to market using his innovation.

I have been managing the development and commercialization of innovations for more than 13 years. I graduated from Western University with a Bachelors (2001) and Masters (2005) in Chemical Engineering. Immediately after the completion of my Masters Degree, Dr. Zhu and I co-founded the Particle Technology Research Centre (PTRC) at Western University. For the next five years I served as the General Manager for the Centre. In 2008, I founded CENNATEK, a technology development company with a focus on innovations in bio-fuels and bio-products. In 2010, I joined the executive team at Entropex, a N.A. leading plastics recycling company as the Director of Technology Development. I managed the development, scale-up and implementation of a three-year, $34 million innovation. In 2014, I joined my team at CENNATEK on a full-time basis and raised $2 million towards the first prototype of our BioLiNE process in partnership with Highline Mushrooms. In 2016, I partnered with Ray McDonald in establishing BioLiNE Corp. with the objective to bring the BioLiNE technology to market. Today, I am leading an enthusiastic research team to innovate and improve our process, our products and the applications of our technology. I am passionate about our BioLiNE technology and its benefits to farming.

John Fisher
Director, Product Innovation & Market Development
I chose to join the BioLiNE team after retiring from my role at Stoller International. My 30-year career includes extensive experience working directly with renowned researchers to help them understand how to practically apply their discoveries at a grower level. As the company’s Director of Product Innovation & Market Development, I will focus on identifying market needs at the grower and distribution level. My success has come from my ability to leverage my knowledge of plant physiology, biochemistry, and nutrient interactions to help bridge the scientist to farmer gap. BioLiNE’s innovative approach of feeding plants on a cellular level is the way of the future. I am looking forward to applying my expertise to BioLiNE’s unique technology because I understands the potential benefits of this breakthrough technology to improve the quality and quantity of food grown by farmers. Toward the end of my career, I value the opportunity to work on sustainable agriculture innovations that will last well beyond my tenure. The technology that BioLiNE is developing is very positive for humanity and I take pride in having a part in that process.
